How long do you wait until you buy new inventions?

i usually wait until it's at a reasonable price. My parents said back in the day they paid crazy prices during the 70s-80s like 800 for a VCr, and $3000 for a computer that ran on ms-dos, and wasn't really good "really slow." Things cost so much when they come out like i think the 1st mp3 players, digicams, camcorders, dvd players cost a lot, and weren't as good as todays products.

Yea, back in 70's and 80's typical price for a reasonable spec (less than 30mhz) was a few K,
Generally i wait until i need it, or i just get it on release,
all depends really with what the technology is,
MP3 players i only got about 6mnths back as my walkman didn't explode until then,
Sata disc drives only recently, because they proved more economical,
the Wii going to kill to be one of the first to get,
so can vary,
no idea what i'm rambling about, but was fun

until a reasonable price..but if i have an older version of it...i'll juss keep the older version..
