Re: Purchasing parts
I think it is possible to rent or lease a whole computer with newer PC parts, but it may not be possible to rent individual parts because of people damaging them.

Re: Purchasing parts
I don't think on a customer level that can be done, but I know bussiness can rent out pcs on lease agreements.

Re: Purchasing parts
I think some companies rent out laptops for a few hours for regular people who may just plan to use an laptop for a few weeks. But, there maybe fewer places which rent out servers, and tower computers.

Re: Purchasing parts
You never rent a server, too costly and huge to be moving around.

Re: Purchasing parts
That is true, servers do look very costly and big to rent. I think buying a used server maybe a good option if you can't afford a new one.

Not to mention the firewalls and switches that needs to be connected, some equipment is so heavy it takes four people to lift.

Re: Purchasing parts
I bet, the power supplies, and hard drives installed on bigger servers can weigh a lot and the case is very heavy.
