no,

don't need password protection, i use somehthing much harder to crack

4096bit encryption based on Hardware id's, amongst other fun things

I don't use wireless internet, either. My sister uses it for her laptop. She was the one who bought the wireless routor to replace my wired routor cuz she wanted internet access when she comes to visit. I just use 3 of the 4 internet ports to connect my PS2, PC, older PC.
