I prefer my sound card since my onboard sound can only hook up 2 speakers while my soundcard can have 5 speakers that are hook up to it.

That varies on Mobo to mobo, mine supports 7.1 sound and you can n hook up a hell of alot
most store bought pc's mobo's are rubbish they only give you the bare minimum
MObo = motherboards

^Do most budget price mobos ($45-60 canadian dollers or less) only come with bare minimum ?
A lot of store bought PC (Dell, HP, Gateway, IBM) and cheaply priced mobos i notice still uses AGP or PCI slot on a mobo instead of PCI-express or PCI-X for a graphics card and other card components like ethernet cards, sound card, tv card etc. Plus, they usually come with onboard video made by i Intel, S3, nvidia, or ati. They still use 10/100 for ethernet instead of 10/100/1000 gigabit ethernet. I don't know if this is still true since i haven't been PC shopping or Mobo shopping in 5 years.

Yea, most 'budget' cmponents come with the absolute bare basic, and really aren't worth the cardboard there made on
Dell pc's are rubbish there mobo's are junk, they offer current tech but it's very-low end even there high-end units are relatively low end to whats out there
but that goes for most PC manufacturers, unless you go to a small firm that "really custom builds pc's"
You'll always get stiff if you go for store bought pc's
Building your own puter will save you money, hell even if you get some one else to build it it'd still be better value than a unit from a pc retailer
