Do you donate to people who make programs that are useful?

Do you guys donate to people that make programs that are useful like Gimp : http://gimp.org/

I will someday because i recently learn how to use Paypal in July, but in the past i didn't know how to donate to people online. Some freeware, shareware programs are a lot better then some of the software you buy in stores like Mcafee antivirus.

For example, Gimp is way better then MS paint which you only get when you buy a MS OS.

MSpaint is about 10 years old, it's just had a few compatibility tweaks but no actual upgrades

though you are right alot of freeware or low price share ware are better than soft that is £2-300 quid, more in many cases
