Intel to bring Formula 1 to Las Vegas
BMW Sauber F1 team to star on the Strip

WHEN IT COMES to the Formula 1 2008 season, vice-champion in construction standings, BMW.SauberF1 team is going to start the season in style, running cars in Las Vegas.

Thanks to a partnership with Intel, a link between BMW and the organisers of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Pit Lane Park is going to be a support programme for next year's CES.

This is how the Park will look...

Pit Lane Park is a replica of a real pit lane, with a 90-metre track, dozen of simulators and so on. BMW Sauber F1 The team is bringing F1 and Formula BMW cars, with race and test drivers changing roles and giving demonstrations to fans. Given the weather in Las Vegas in early January, this demonstration will raise temperatures to above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, at least for the crowd around the track.

And this is going to happen there - burn some rubber and chew bubblegum!

Pit Lane Park is going to be located on the Gold Lot car park, on the corner of Paradise Road and Convention Center (sic) Drive. In other words, whoever exits the Convention Center, it will have a prime view of the flying circus called F1.

As soon as CES starts winding down, the pr0n convention under the name Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE) will begin, meaning next year's CES will be the one not to miss. What sells chips better than cars and sex? Or at least, the illusion of both.

Since Steve Jobs does not have a 800 bhp Formula 1 car in front of Moscone West, and as pr0n stars are a big no-no, we wonder what will Apple do for their show pitch? ยต
