What's more important "stats or community" for for

I don't really care about statistics for forums, but it's sad that a lot of people mostly join forum that are active even if the forums are infested by perverts, bullies, and other undesirable people.

I like forum communities that have honest, friendly, honorable, and courageous members who post good post and reply politely to other people's post instead of a bunch of despicable members who spam a forum full of dumb comments like "I'm too sexy for your mom." , etc.
