Now that it's over, I wonder.
Did you ever really like me,
Accepting my confession
With a smile, so carefree.

You were always so kind,
Unable to resist.
Helping wherever,
Impossible to list.

You were always so giving,
I was a bit jealous.
Why did you never seem,
To care more about us.

I don't know what you felt,
Towards me when we're together.
I could never find out,
I could never be sure.

So I said those words,
Even if I still yearned.
Because I couldn't be sure,
If my feelings were returned.

"Let's break up..."
Desperately hoping you'd say no.
But you only smiled sadly,
SoI knew, it was time for us to go

It was the only chance,
To salvage our lost romance.

Based on one of the chapters in the manga 'Salad Day's' A collection of short stories, centered around the same places. It actually ended alot happier than my poem did, but I wondered if the heroine didn't dowhat she did near the end, and I cut out one of the secondary characters altogether. Hope you enjoyed my poem.
