Pussycat dolls singer Carmit Bachar has confirmed she has left the girl group.

Bachar was the only original member of the Los Angeles-based burlesque dance troupe from which the band was formed.

She writes on the Pussycat Dolls' website: "I wanted to be the first to tell you that I'm no longer with the Pussycat Dolls but we will always be sisters forever."

Pussycat Dolls have no plans to replace Bachar and will carry on as a five-piece.

I heard Asia decided to become a solo aritist instead of joining the Pussy Cat Dolls.

Asia Nitollano said she felt like the Pussycat Dolls were "the group for me" after she was crowned the newest member of the all-female dance troupe/singing group during the spring finale of The CW's Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll.

However after thinking the decision over, the 18-year-old former New York Knicks dance team member from Mt. Vernon, NY is apparently singing a different tune and dancing to a different beat.

Nitollano has "decided to do a solo career" rather than become the newest member of the Pussycat Dolls, The CW entertainment president Dawn Ostroff told reporters attending the Television Critics Association's summer press tour on Friday, according to Minnesota's The Star Tribune newspaper.

I just only know one of the names who is nicole scherzinger of the current Pussy Cat Dolls. The rest just seem to be back up singers and dancers
