How about a bittorrent tracker?
it can't be that hard to do,
and it's really not that hard to make a torrent the default client allows that

BT Tracker is how you download ANYTHING from bit torrent, well it was in the old days,
a tracker just tracks the peers that have the files,
so say
User A is seeding (hass 100% of the file)
User B Wants the file but has no clue that User A has the file a tracker will tell them that
User C has 75% of teh file that User A has but User A ip changed the tracker will tell user C this

hmm, i
MIGHT be able to run the tracker, i just need a way of lowering the BW it uses
it won't look very nice and abit'll be disabled, but it'll work
so interest yell here
also if you guys are interested i'll buy some hosting and we can get this a rocking
EDIT://
EDITED://
WOOT i rock, okay i tweaked the tracker and rearranged it somewhat
Tracker url is:
http://mxptracker.sytes.net:8080/announce
Tracker Stats:
http://mxptracker.sytes.net:8888/stats
there still a few things that need to be figured out like where to upload torrents and how to distribute them,
atm they can be sent to me via AIM either: SetoTK or CavecrashX
and i'll upload them to my pwp, or uplaod them to some free webspace like geocities or something
