Do you notice most dating sites seem to be geared more toward men?

I sometimes click on online dating site links on website to see how many good looking people are on there when I am bored. I notice most dating sites seem to be more geared toward men like the default search options.
Are
Looking for : Female Companion
Age: 18-25
Type of relationship: Casual, or Intimate.
Plus, the Ads usually have an attractive or decent looking Female who is between the age of 18-30 .

Yeah, the stuff on tv for match.com and that kind of stuff kind of do advertise for men.
I don't really understand how meeting people over the internet is safe, or for that matter how it works.
I mean, they don't really know the person until they meet them. If I were going on a date with someone I met on the internet, it would be like a triple date with 3 couples. XD

Yeah those TV ads for phone-chat and websites usually have Females wearing tight and little clothing. They also talk in a seductive or flirtasous voice. I notice there are almost no lesbians , and bisexual dating sites being advertised a lot online or offline. But, there are more gay men dating sites being advertised online, and offline.

I know whatcha mean. Some of those ads go too far, too. Jeez, I'll just be looking up some lyrics and sitting at the bottom of the page is a giant banner of some half-naked lady spreading her legs 180 degrees with giant text saying "ARE YOU LONELY?"
