I think Transitions are very important in slideshows since without transitions the slide show look like it is a laggy video.

Transitions are also important in video since it makes the video not look like someone was using a VCR to edit their video.

Note: Transitions are those fade, and shape effects between scenes and photo slides.

I don't do many slideshows or vids so I wouldn't know! XD

it depends if you making it for "Education Use" or "to get funding"

if for education then it doesn't matter, but to get funding the more "transitions" and "flashy" crap the more likely you are to get the funding requested this is due to the "the higher up in the organisation someone is, the less they ahve a clue whats going on"
