The newest iteration of the Nintendo DS, the Dsi, has come out of hiding! The company's new handheld gets a 17% bigger screen (measuring in at 3.25 inches), a .3 megapixel camera, an SD memory card slot, and “audio enhancements” like the ability to listen to mp3s, adjust pitch and playback.

The DSi will also feature built-in browsers and a DSi shop. Pricing categories at the shop for DsiWare include Free, 200 points, 500 points, and a “Premium” 800 points. New DSi owners will get 1000 points to spend at the DSi Shop before March 2010. I. Want. It. Now. Get the rest of the story from our brother-in-arms, Kotaku (and click their digg badge above)! It is an improvement from the gameboy Camera that Nin. release in 1998.

The camera takes greyscale (2 bits per pixel) 128x112 pixel pictures
Detectable Illumination Range (Faceplate) : 1lx ~ 10000lx
Exposure Time Range : 16 μsec ~ 1sec
Frame Rate : 10frame/s ~ 30frame/s

I heard the DSi won't have support for older GBA, GB, and Homebrew games on those homebrew cartridges.

The SD memory slot is cool since SD cards have like 8-32 GB for SDHC SD card. I wonder if the DSi will support SDHC cards or just SD.

The screen is bigger. I wonder how bright is the screen for the DSi.

Yes, I agree there are a ton of good GBA and GB games that people still play, and removing the GBA slot is a turn off for me, too. Plus, most people have low quality cameras on their cell phones already.
