What do you think of PDF files?

I don't really like them since they seem a lot bigger then .doc, .rtf, .txt files and not everyone have adobe acrobat reader or foxit.

PDF's tend to contain images which usually pushes the size up
and they can actually be smaller in a PDF vs DOC system when you get in to hundreds of pages
but as with BMP files PDF's are generally useless and are only popular because stupid people beleive them to be uneditable

I like .html , .php, .txt, .rtf files since it is compatible with a lot of GUI based OSes with Browsers and very easy to edit for people who are knowledgeable in Html, php, or WYSIWYG editors.
I think some people who use products and formats Adobe created like Photoshop, PDF, Dreamweaver, Flash , Illustrator, their movie editor don't really think of creating documents or media files that have a small file size and fast load times they are more interested in
making it flashy and cool looking.
