Does Registering your domain name for a longer amount of time help with Search Engine Optimization?

I heard if you register your domain longer you get a higher search result rank on search engines.

But, I think registering your domain name have other benefits.

You won't be afraid of not having enough money to register your domain name in the future because you spent all your money on something since you already registered it.

You can save money in the long run since in a few years the 10 dollers won't be worth as much since money can come down in value, so domain registration might be more expensive in the future.

There is a lesser chance someone will buy your domain if you forgot to register the next year.

It's better to register your domain for as long as possible

If you only register your domain for a few months (possible in certain circumstances) then search engines will most likely disregard much of it until your site is a certain age

sites rgeistered for longer will get better rankings than sites just registered for a short time. though registering a domain relevant to your topic

eg registering low-rent-property.fict then doing a site about pickles on that domain makes little to no sense so a domain like howtogrowpickles.fict would be preferable so having a domain relevant is beneficial

but SEO is not easy and is NOT a static fact sheet you can do all the SEO you like but if the content or the sites not there then it's a waste of time,

Original Content, inbound links from high PR sites are the easier way to get high rankings in search engines or you can of course take the shotgun approach (i shouldn't need to explain this)

I read somewhere that spammers use those 30 or more day free trial domain accounts to spam people then decide not to renew their account and register a new domain to spread their spam and link farms.
