When do you think Portable Blu-ray players come out?

I think in 2010-2011 Portable blu-ray players will be popular like those $100 portable DVD players with an LCD.

i think they'll use an OLED screen, for teh sake of power consumption

and i think more likely Q3/4 2011 or Q1/2 2012

^ I agree they probably use OLED screens, but I got a feeling the cheap port. blu-ray with odd brand names probably still use 7" LCDs to save on price.

Aye, though them "bizarre" branded ones won't release portable blu-rays until the brands release a couple and i suspect they will be OLED's so the bizarre ones will likely have to follow suit

The bizzare brands probably use low resolution oled displays like the $99 and below Portable DVD players which have 480 x 234 res. displays

I doubt they will hit the market much before late 2012 and they will become affordable for most people by 2014.

aye i would stick with my previous estimate there Qualcomm snap dragon allows for portable high definition playback
