What do you usually do with old computers that are broken or too slow?

They usually go in the garage a long with a lot of other stuff I don't really use. I will probably use them to practice taking computers apart and puting them back together since I would not be afraid of breaking them since they are too slow, broken, or not worth fixing.

I can collect old parts like screws, jumpers, cd-rom drives, modems, fans, and network cards from them, too.

I think when my current computer becomes too slow. I install a linux distro in it to learn about Linux command lines, etc, or turn it into a oversized digital Picture/Video viewer by looking for a 20 inch CRT or LCD for displaying pictures and connecting it to my computer.

Depending on age, scrap them or sell them on.

oh lol, I was talking to my cousin the other day who got a new computer and he axed his old computer, literary. But really he has a axe in his house and grabbed that and took his old computer outside and began to smash it apart. I wish I was there when he did it.

but for me I just trash them if there beyond use after making sure all private info is gone. though I might take mine down to his house from now on. :)

That sounds fun. You should also record your cousin and you axing your old computer and post it on youtube.

Maybe my "scrap" means something else, but your cousin as the right idea. though i find petrol saws are so much more fun.
