Some people say that a computer can catch fire if the powersupply or anyother high wattage device like a CPU, Gaming Video Card malfunctions it can catch fire, so people should have a fire extinguiser that can put out an active electricity fire.
I say it does not hurt to have a fire extinguiser capable of putting out electrical fires since they cost only about $20 dollars or less for a small one which cost less then a home which is usually $200,000 and up. If you are lucky you might be able to save some parts, or data. Plus, the fire extinguiser can be used to put out other fires if it is a class ABC extinguiser.
Does this also mean people should carry around a small fire extinguiser with their laptop since if someone laptops overheats and catch on fire at a a person's house.
The person who owns the house might sue for damages or emotional distress if the burnt laptop owner burns their house.
