Koobface, an infamous virus that has previously been a big problem on Facebook, MySpace (MySpace), and other social networks, is now spreading its wings to Twitter (Twitter). Like previous virsues that have been spread via Twitter, the way to get infected with this one is to follow a link.

I try to avoid popular social sites like myspace and facebook. The main reason why Facebook was banned at my school was because viruses were getting on the school's computers from the social site.

Sounds like the people who take of your computers at school are not updating, or securing the computers very well. I also don't go on many popular social sites because I get a lot of messages with links that go to unknown sites.
