Which do you prefer hosting videos on a video sharing site vs your own site, torrents, p2p?

I guest if you want a lot of people to view your video, rate it, comment it, and share it easily with others then using social videos sites with a lot of active visitors be best if you have a lots of subscribers, and viewers.

But, hosting videos on my own site. I can upload higher quality version videos without worry about some site compressing it and making it look ugly and pixelated.

If I made really long HD movies that are 10,000+MBs in size I probably use Bittorrents to host movie for people to download since paying for additional bandwidth can be costly.
