is it me, or is this channel seem to be getting poor? They are no longer giving local weather every hour on each 8 minute. the local forecast isn't even running smoothly as it either skips the first part, the guy's voice that reads off the forecast report for the day, night, and the next day freezes. And the weather channel just has on programs that are not great or hinder the main purpose of the channel.
your thoughts?

I agree the weather channel seems to be not going well since they have a lot of other programming that talks about going green, and there are a bunch of commercials for snow tires, auto glass, etc.

well that stuff is alright, but they need to be showing more weather forecasting and less storm stories.

Yes, the weather channel seem to be not as focusing as much on local weather, but the internet does a pretty good job reporting local weather. I feel bad for the people who rely on the local weather channel for their weather coverage since they have to wait 15 min to 30 min. for local forecasting. Although, my digital cable box has a menu item which has a local weather app similar to most websites like MSN, etc. But, not many people look at the menu program for their digital cable box.
I guest the most simple way to stay on air is to air dramatic stories about storms and natural disasters. The Weather channel is becoming too much like the Discovery channel which is a shame since people rely on it for up to the minute updates on weather conditions.

I agree, but I heard there are people who are addicted to the Weather channel. It is a very good niche since it weather 24/7.
