The disc doesn't have a silver or gold reflective layer, making it somewhat transparent. The disc can withstand heat up to 176 degrees Fahrenheit and ultraviolet rays.

I hope there is a 1000 year warranty. In 1000 years, DVD players probably will not exists. The price is decent if you use it to back up priceless files like your home video, photos, financial files, insurance files, housing details or health information. Who would of guest stone etching will be back in fashion?

Well, the disc is made of a man made diamond stone, and if someone does not smash it with a hammer, or axe and it is left in a locked box. It whould last for a long time.

Hmmm, this reminds me of those Mystry Discs in the "Monster Rancher" anime.
