Are you more likely to buy the paid version of the software if the free version is excellent to use?

I dislike those trialware or shareware that has too many limitations like you can only record 10 seconds of audio and then the program won't let you record more.
I'm more likely to buy the paid version if I had an excellent experience with the free or trial versions.

tbh i just get a full version from somewhere if i like it i'll buy it,
i hate trial versions as a rule they never let you experience the software in it's full state, if the software is over priced i will look for an alternative adobe great example they over charge by hundreds

I know a few people that can turn the trail version to the full thing for nothing. but that's another topic for another time. But yeah if I like the trial then I will get the full.

I usually look for an open source or freeware alternative to the paid version, or get the software for free when I have to buy a new videocard, or sound card since the retail versions of expansion cards and cd-rom drives usually come bundled with software.

Paying? pft. I'll just download the full version for free somewhere.
