I notice some websites has scripts that can really slow down a PC.

Do you guys notice with some of the bigger websites with tons of widgets, comment boxs, and modifications installed that it can be very slow, and eventually your browser gives you an "Script is slowing down your PC. Do you want to terminate script" error box.

yea that would be buggy javascript and flash
most widgets have some form of this and as developers are lazy sods they will not verify the code optimal

I know a few sites like that. it's usually because they got too much stuff going on their site.

I notice most sites with a lot of widgets tend to have very little useful content, so they tend to add widgets to fill up their page to make it look more active.

those kinds of sites don't really last all that long.

well for the most part unfortunately yahoo, msn and most isp sites are still there which is bloody annoying

I find it kind of annoying when I log out of Yahoo mail and hotmail since they both redirect me to their hompage which is usually yahoo.com and msn/live.com which has so much sensationalist and celebrity gossip which I don't care much about.
I like how G-mail just logs me out and return me to the gmail login page.
