It probably won't make a lot more people want to learn a task on a PC since I notice a lot of people refuse to learn something unless they have to for school or work.

However, it will make some because they can because videos can be easier to access since you can load it on so many devices like cell phones, netbooks, and palm pilots. Plus, e-books are kind of borring due to a lack of colour, sound, and visual effects.

I find following online video tutorials on how to make something is a good way to learn something since I can see how the person making the tutorial is moving his mouse and typing what on his keyboard to accomplish his task. Plus, I can easily use fast forward or rewind to go to or back to a step unlike books which tend to be difficult to search for a step, or websites which are unreliable and are constantly down.

I can load a bunch of video tutorials on learning how to do something on a PC, and take it with me on a Laptop, Smart Phone, portable DVD player, or Portable media player which is more convenient then carrying around a 1000 page book.

Making videos and publishing them are pretty easy. All I use is Camstudio, Windows Live Movie Maker, and Youtube. It turned up pretty good minus my monotoned voice.
