Do you hate it when people link to a PDF or file and not saying it is a PDF.

Yes, I find it kind of annoying when I click on a link and its a PDF since then FoxIt runs in my browser which is slower then HTML pages. It kind of lags my internet browsing experience when I click on a 100+ page PDF.
I wish more people will say it is a PDF in the anchor text for their links.

I never clicked on a file and have it turn out to be a pdf, but I have clicked on links without looking to see if they are pdf and found out the hard way that they are.

It is strange that they don't make an HTML version of their PDF for online since there is software available for converting PDF to HTML.

They do it because they think you can't steal pdf data though it just makes it easier,
they use pdf because nearly every stupid company has been suckered into beleiving they needed it.

I heard some people do it because PDF are portable and does not require an internet connection to read their work, and it is easy to share.
But, the thing I hate about PDF books are you have to download the entire PDF to read one page unlike a website which seperate your pages into multiple section like articles.htm, index.htm, videos.htm, etc, so I don't have to download everything to download one thing to view 1 page.
