Online Drinking parties gaining popularity in Japan

Young Japanese Drink Beer, and Liquor in front of a webcam and mic and visit websites to go to online drinking parties with drinking avatars. They do this to save money.

Japan Trends

Seems kind of weird, but interesting at the same time. It also reduces the chances of "drinking and driving" unless they are at a friends house for an online drinking party and need to drive home after the party. But, this is an online trend that I won't be part of since Beer abd Liquor prices aren't cheap at the Liquor store.

What kinds of worries me is if someone over drinks. No one can physically stop them since they are all online unless a member goes over to a members house to stop them from over drinking and possibly intoxicating themselves with Liquor which can have bad results in a lot of cases.

Lol, that be weird since there probably be an epedemic of people who are drinking and Gaming or Drinking and youtubing/video chating which can have some very funny results or annoying results if your on a mission in an MMO and your team member is a drunk and can't help you defeat a boss since he passed out from drinking...

lol that be funny as hell. I would love to see this become a trend in the US just to see what all the people who deal with drinking would say about it.

As internet TV like Hulu, Youtube, etc and gaming becomes more popular, I bet drinking and watching TV (football, baseball, etc) will be replaced by Drinking and going online. It be weird watching slurred video replys and comments on Youtube.

I can imagine how funny or annoying it will be to play Mario Kart or racing games online with drunks smashing into your car and being emotional talking about their relationship or work problems in voice chat like some drunks.
