I like watching Youtube videos on Youtube.com since I can comment, and rank it easily.

But, it is also great viewing embeded Youtube videos on people's forums, blogs, and websites since a lot of the good YT videos never gets notice because they don't rank as high in Youtube's search or the most viewed section. Plus, my comments on a forum, blog, website, etc will get read by more people since Youtube comments go so fast that it is impossible to read them all on the more popular videos, so older comments eventually sink to the last page of the video comment page on YT.

I don't mind either way, but I am annoyed at the embed video off/on option.

Same for me. I don't like how some people make the embed video on or off. But, I guest it is because some people think they make more advertising money by having people visit their channel to view their videos since Youtube partners has adsense ads on their sidebar for their channels.

only thing it does is make me not watch the video instead of just having me watch the video and possible make me come to that video page to leave a comment or rate it.
