Would search engines be less important when websites have better built-in search?

Facebook friend, and group search work for most people at finding what they need which is Facebook related. I notice most companies tell people to search on Facebook for their company instead of Googling their company.
I find using the internal search engine on Twitter also pretty reliable to finding twitter members.
I think tech-savvy people probably use the built-in internal search built-in to websites like Facebook, forums, Twitter, YouTube, and other sites since there are less spammy web results from bad websites with fake info, viruses, and spyware.
The non-tech-savvy crowd would still use search engines for searching for stuff online.
