Possibly, since people enjoy watching video, and MP3 players which play video are becoming cheaper every year.

But, there probably always be MP3 players which just play songs, but my best guest are companies will stop making new models or improving on MP3 players which just play songs due to a lack of demand, and the players which just play songs are pretty good as it is.

I only use mine for listening to music, I don't need it for videos.

Same for me, but the screens on MP3 players which play videos are usually better in many cases since the screens do not look like it was from a calculator or Caller ID box.

the screens give good resolution, but the sana made MP3 players have crappy screens that tend to give out after a few months of use.

as for example, mine goes white sometimes and I have to bang it against something to get the screen to display right.

I don't get why companies can't make better screens since my Gameboy Advance still have a good screen and it's very old. My Flip cellphone which cost only 50 bucks screen is still pretty good.

I think they pack too much stuff into one thing.

I agreee companies pack too much stuff into things, and use cheaper parts which break easily.
