Yes, try using a different browser.
I notice hitting refresh work for fixing the problem.
My best guest is browsers are trying to be so fast that they are caring less about reliably displaying all website which don't have servers as fast as Facebook.com or Google.com, and if a website is slower it thinks it is offline.

Re: Downtime Yesterday?
Maybe emptying your Temporary Internet files for Firefox might fix this problem.

I heard changing the DNS server might make some websites load faster.
You can try using Google DNS to see if it makes a difference.

You can also try flushing the DNS info in Windows.
By using this command ipconfig /flushdns in the command prompt in Windows.

Re: Downtime Yesterday?
got a pic:

and with my forum upgrade this weekend I had flush my dns, use bleachbit to empty everything of firefox and plus I got that error with chrome. Soon after a refresh fixed both. So it might be the google DNS.
I find it weird that while loading your site my site's favicon still shows.

Re: Downtime Yesterday?
I see if my web host can fix the problem.
I keep an eye on things, and see whats up with the problem I'm having.
You can also try OpenDNS.
http://www.opendns.com/ to see if it fixes the problem.

It might be your ISP since I remember I used to have an ISP which can't load certain sites like Winamp.com, and I can load them fine on the schools and library computer for some reason.

Re: Downtime Yesterday?
I wonder if it could be your anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware, or firewall software which is causing this problem since I read online thar sometimes computer security software make websites load slower, not load at all, or block sites from loading.
