How much RAM do you usually recommend if someone is trying to buy a computer for gaming?

I'd definitely recommend minimum 4GB. I'd say 6GB RAM is enough and would definitely give you the best performance out of most games.

4GB the minimum, 6GB for most of the games which are out now.

I think spending more money on a graphics video card would be a beter deal since you can always add more RAM latter when you need it, but a video card would make games look great.
