I recently asked a question about whether to get the PS3 Normal or Slim. I have decided to get a slim but have one question. Are the games the same or are there separate games for the slim?

They both play the same games.

You should note there are three PS3 models, normal (fat), slim and super slim. Regardless of what you get, they all play the same games but always go for the one with the bigger HD size.

The hard drive on all three model like the Fat, slim, and super slim are user upgradeable. If you have a 100GB-1TB 2.5 inch hard drive, you can install it on the $199.99 PS3 Super Slim with 12GB of space instead of paying more money for a PS3 with a larger size hard drive. There are plenty of tutorials online how to upgrade the PS3's hard drive. The Super Slim also uses less electricity than previous versions of the PS3 because of improved microchips and parts which need less power to run.

I need to upgrade my PS3's storage, but not sure if I will use it enough to warrant a upgrade before going to SP4.

It is best to upgrade the storage when you need more storage because hard drives are getting more storage every year, and the older hard drive with less storage are cheaper when newer bigger sized hard drive come out.

I fully plan to upgrade my PS4's storage on day one with the biggest TB HDD/SSD I can find.
