Better Laptop Batteries?

I was wondering if there are better alternative laptop batteries one could get? Mine needs to be replaced and the replacement battery isn't getting good reviews on amazon.

According to blog and forum post I read online it is not recommended to replace your batteries with non-official batteries from your laptop brand because it may cause a fire, or explosion.

that wouldn't be good would it? Shame they just don't make good quality batteries for all laptops.

I think the main reason that using un-official laptop batteries is a bad idea is because there are a lot of cheaper brands which don't fully test their batteries to see if they are safe since safety testing cost a lot of money sometimes.

It's too bad that no one made a laptop battery which work with other laptops as well like how USB battery chargers for smartphones and tablets work with other USB charging smartphones, tablets, MP3 players, and devices.

Oh well, hopefully one day someone will make a great battery.
