When PC gets slow

When your PC, laptop, or whatever gets slow. What do you do to hopefully make it become faster or learn what the issue is?

I usually just disable startup programs, and services which make my computer faster. Adding more RAM, and upgrading the video card works at making my PC faster when playing more intensive games, or using big programs like video editing software.

Ram can be expensive to get though.

I agree RAM could be expensive, but RAM is still one of the cheapest upgrades compared to upgrading the CPU, hard drives, and video card which can cost hundreds of dollars.
Installing Linux on your computer could make it run faster because there are some versions of Linux like Puppy Linux, and Tiny Core Linux which are designed to run on slower computers with less RAM, and CPU resources.

personally I feel all PCs should come with the max amount of RAM they can handle.

I agree, it would be nice to have PCs with the maximum amount of RAM it can handle.

maybe one day, or who knows maybe RAM will be replaced one day?
