Bracing for a storm

when a storm is about to hit your area, how do you prepare for it?

I just don't go out of my home if there is a storm. I also wear a lot of clothing. I have enough canned food, dry food like Cereal, and bottle water which last for many days.

We make sure we got a few none equipment needing items like cereal and bread and just don't go outside.
