how old is your PC monitor? What kind is it?

I'm not sure. But, they are all over 10 years old. I got an NEC, and HP monitor. I also got a old LG tube monitors which I keep around just in case my LCD monitors suddenly break.

One of my old tower computers still use an old Viewsonic tube monitor which still works pretty well when I use it.

I have a emachines monitor, pretty nice yet and still works. Thought for sure it break down by now or have a dead pixel.

I only had an old digital camera with one small dead pixel. I never had a monitor or TV with a dead pixel which is very visible.

I think Tube monitors rarely suffer from bad pixels because it uses a electron gun to draw the image on the screen. I seen some very old tube TVs and monitors which still have good picture quality, and brightness.

it seems monitors at schools and work places seem to go dead pixel often. But I think thats because they press heavily on their screens.

I agree monitors at schools and work have more dead pixels. I also think it is caused by people pressing hard on the screen.

Some places have those plastic anti glare plastic over them, but it don't help much.
