Favorite Asian Music
Out of all the different Asian types of music (Chinese, j-pop, K-pop, ect.) which is your favorite? Have you listen to all the different versions?

Re: Favorite Asian Music
I think BoA is my favorite Asian singer because she was probably one of the first Asian singers which I listened to. I was not really into Asian music before listening to BoA.
Utada Hikaru is pretty good as well. I like her Kingdom Hearts OST songs.

Seems a lot of singers don't make it that long. She must be good.

BoA is 29 years old according to Wikipedia, and has been singing since her teens, so she gained a lot of experience from singing so long. She seems to really enjoy singing, and the support of her fans.Skeithex wrote:Seems a lot of singers don't make it that long. She must be good.
There are some singers like Sera Ryu of 9 Muses(kpop girl group) which have become independent/indie singers who no longer a part of a huge Record company which take away a lot of their profits, or because the singers did not have their contracts renewed by the Record company.
I think more singers are learning about how to use their fan base, the internet, singing competitions, and concerts to sell albums without the need for a Record company which may take away a large part of their profits from album sales.
Some singers may not be active in mainstream music, but still release music on the internet, perform at smaller concerts, and places like fairs/carnivals, Casinos, bars and restaurants which hire singers as entertainment,

I know some of my favorite bands like Two-Mix have disbanded.
