It should help, though be a good skill to learn on ways to keep a pc cooler.

No, most don't realize there is a fan in their pcs lol.

I imagine most computer classes in high school rarely talk about computer fans and cooling.

They do, but not much. It's more on the CPU and storage if anything.

I think most people use the heattsink and fan which came witb their CPU or PC, so high school computer courses may not talk much about thirdparty heatsinks and fans for a cpu.
