It be great, but I feel like most are made to not last more than a few years.

I feel aome thinner monitors may not last as long because they may run hotter.

I don't see many get hot, I think they have good venting that takes the heat away.

I think some older LCD monitors may also have heatsinks and thermal paste which makes monitor run cooler.

I've never heard of a monitor having thermal paste, but I did deal with some really old ones that had dangerous mercury in them.

Hopefully, most workplaces provide gloves and a face mask when fixing monitors with mercury and lead.

Most tend to throw it out and its dumpster areas where it gets all dumped into.
