I heard some companies extract the more valuable metals in old computer parts like monitors and motherboards.

Yep, I've seen companies dig through stuff for that. Wish I had the time to do so.

Some people may also collect more valuable parts like RAM to sell used.

I've seen lots of used RAM go up for sale on ebay of late, kind of crazy.

I heard more people are trying out Linux OS. I think people who can't afford to buy more RAM are looking for a lightweight OS like Linux which can run on PCs with less RAM and a slower CPU.

I'm going to duo boot my PC here soon and get some linux on it, for more general day use.

I heard some gamers are now more interested in Linux Gaming because Linux does not come with a lot of software like AI software which users may never use.
