If the rust were to leak into the system, it would certainly kill things for sure.

Which is why everyone should use fans, less issues and can easily be replaced.

I think using traditional thermal paste is a good idea as well. I saw a few videos of the PS5 thinner liquid metal thermal paste causing leaking problens where the thinner paste leaked out of the cooler.

Yeah the base stuff is never the best, always good to open up a system if you know how to and replace it with stronger stuff.

I heard the white sillicon thermal paste is not as good as the better thermal paste made by better thermal paste brands.

I think all console makers use the white stuff due to how easy it is to get and bulk buy, wish they put more effort into their stuff.
