Do you know how to change the Login screen for Windows Vista or XP?

I found a program that does it.

But, I don't really like downloading and installing software.

Is there a way to modify the default login screen by modifying a seting within Win. Vista.

yes, but at this time, i don't remember which of the billion useless settings it isbut i think it's under system > logo OR disply > logon something,

can't rem at crrent, and not booting laptop to find out

I just use Logonstudio since Vista seems to not have that feature, or it is very hard to find.

Logonstudio is pretty good for what it does. I can easily make logon wallpapers for windows.
