What do you think of those reward point programs that reward costumers for shopping or filing out forms?

I think air miles, Safeway Card, saveonfood, shoppers drug mart, Bestbuy rewards, Petceteria, Canadian tire money are good idea since they give you back cash credits at their store for shopping at their store. But, you have to spend a lot to get cool gifts and a decent amount of store credit. It is better then nothing. If you accumulate enough points you can get back 5-20 dollers depending on the store.

A guy in my class got a cool MP3 player by saving up his shoppers drug mart points and exchanging them for a mp3 player.

But, I kind of think it make some people overspend just to get a few more points for a cool gift or store credit.

if you go to the store alot anyway, you may as well get a fraction of what you spend back

i've got one for a cd store. it's like "for every dollar you spend, you get 10 points and once you get 5000 points, you get 10$ off"

so...i have to spend 500$ to get this coupon. yipee.

i like airmiles, though. my friend's mom gets loads of airmiles because she has to buy medication for her MS, so a couple years ago they took a trip to disney world on airmiles. that's a lot of freaking airmiles.

Most of the cards are free, so there's really no point NOT to get them. And the ones that give you points towards gas are REALLY helpful, especially in today's world.

Well, I had this teacher who believe that those cards track what you are buying, so he dooesn't use one. But, I think it is not a big deal that Safeway know that you buy a lot of coke, and chips. You can get a lot of points fast these days since things like food, health care, and gas prices are rising.

I got a best buy rewards card. I can get 5 bucks off my next purchase. I guess that's the only one that's worth it compared to all the other cards i have. I used to shop at those stores religiously now i barely do it.

Bestbuy have some pretty good deals sometimes, so you might as well get the rewardz card. I think it also tells you about deals and give you access to buying good concert tickets.
