I somewhat think that power point is less effective at making people pay attention. They can be very boring to watch. I rather watch a video of a person doing something then watching a person explain his multple slides of him doing something.

Can vary and will depend on the target audience

If your just trying to show something off then a short clip,
if your trying to educate then a slideshow or a slideshoe style video with an audio track
I never really understood Thursdays.
