Do you have to reinstall Firefox?
lately my FF browser was getting pretty hard to use. About every 10-15 minutes it would stop responding, every time I play a video it would freeze at some point and might lead my browser stop responding again. and when I clicked on it to get to the internet it wouldn't even work. so I went around looking for a way to remedy this and I found out that I had to uninstall it and reinstall it. and they recommend that you do it about every 6 months which I didn't know you had to. So I did that and now my browser works great. have you ever had to do this?
