My internal memory card reader on my computer suddenly stop working?

I put in my SD card and nothing is detected. Usually a green light turns on when I insert a SD card in the slot. The Memory card Reader is not showing up in My computer or device manager.

I got a feeling it has something to do with Windows Update.

Should I just buy a new external Card reader or find a fix for it?

Hmm, weird that

i'd try reinstalling the drivers for it if that fails and if ye are of the technical ability back up all important data and reinstall OS how ever if your using Vista install a decent OS

Thanks, I don't have the driver CD, and I don't know what icompany makes the card reader. I think I just buy a Generic external card reader for now .
