Somewhat, if my internet connection or the host is slow.

Plus, I have to find the right version, and make a Back up of my files, and database. Just incase something goes wrong.

Not very long, if it's a vanilla version then i just over write files, if it's been modded i do the code changes which can take quite a while on big pieces of soft,
I never really understood Thursdays.

I really never upgraded anything online so I can't say. but everything said above would be true.
