E-sata is just another external port for transfering files like USB, and Fire wire.
Sample of a E-Sata product.

I think eSata will not be as popular as USB 2.0 or even firewire which was not very well adopted compared to USB .
E-Sata is not available on a lot of older PCs, and USB 3.0 is almost coming out, and USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1.
I only see eSata being used by people who need faster transfer speed then USB 2.0 and Fire Wire 400 and 800. But, can't afford , wait or want to get a USB 3.0 compatible expansion card or mother board.
Do you think eSata be more popular then USB for transfering files between devices?
