If you knew someone who owned a major search engine, would you ask them to make you rank higher on their engine.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure since the temptation is always there.

But, I generally like enjoy challenge of being rank higher on search engine through hard work in using good SEO practices, and making quality content.

they wouldn't do that unless you paid them to. or they really like you and don't care about others.

I notice a lot of search engines self-promote their own products on the top search results, or websites that have similar values.
